In order to be considered for employment, STS applicants must pass pre-employment drug screens, along with background and driving record checks. In addition, applicants must pass a physical evaluation and meet the mandatory DOT requirements. All new hires will be trained in tower safety and rescue, first aid, CPR, RF awareness and standard OSHA training.
STS tower crews are required to complete refresher courses. These courses involve hands-on training with various connectors, proper rigging, defensive driving, DOT regulations, fall protection and flash technology. In addition, some individuals are selected to receive Anritsu Line Sweeping and CDL certification.
STS is dedicated to a drug –free workplace. Employees are tested for drugs and alcohol on a regular basis.
